Context secures $11M in funding to create an AI-native office suite

Context, provider of the “first true AI-native” office suite, announced an $11 million seed round at a $70 million valuation, enabling the company to revolutionize knowledge work ahead of its public launch in June.

The funding round was led by Lux Capital, with participation from Qualcomm Ventures, General Catalyst, and others.

“More than a trillion hours of productivity every year are wasted on mundane tasks like building reports, slides, and spreadsheets, all with information that already exists within an organization,” explained Joseph Semrai, founder and CEO of Context. “Our mission is to unleash knowledge workers by creating the world’s most trusted, advanced, and secure productivity platform for individuals, enterprises, and governments alike.”

According to the company, Context reimagines productivity from the ground up as an AI-first experience. Its proprietary Context Engine achieves industry leading long context processes of over 50 million tokens without intelligence degradation, allowing users to upload notes, data files, or existing drafts and simply describe their desired outcome.

In seconds, Context generates near-final documents, presentations, and spreadsheets for review, iteration, and distribution. Designed for security and compliance, Context can run locally across web, desktop, and mobile environments, keeping sensitive data on-premise for enterprises and government agencies, the company said.

Key products include:

  • AI Documents: Instantly creates polished reports, proposals, and any other type of document.
  • AI Slides: Instantly creates professional, executive-ready presentations with intelligent formatting and compelling narratives.
  • AI Spreadsheets: Effortlessly analyzes, visualizes, and forecasts complex data without formulas.
  • Data Analyst: Accelerates development workflows by intelligently generating, reviewing, and debugging code.
  • Deep Research: Delivers precise, synthesized answers to complex queries from internal and external sources.
  • Enterprise Search: Rapidly surfaces actionable insights across all internal tools, files, and conversations with industry-leading context retrieval.

To rapidly scale its mission, Context has partnered closely with Qualcomm to power the next generation of personal computing.

Optimized specifically for Qualcomm's cutting-edge NPUs, Context unlocks secure, agentic productivity experiences directly on-device, establishing itself as the first office suite purpose-built for this new era of intelligent computing.

“Context will be the backbone of AI-powered productivity, unlocking billions in value currently trapped in legacy workflows for Fortune 500s and governments alike”, said Tushar Gupta, managing director of North America at Qualcomm Ventures. “We’re excited to partner closely with a visionary team that is truly reshaping the future of knowledge work.”
