Document Sciences chief steps down

Alan Lynchosky, named as Document Sciences' president and CEO in March, is stepping down effective August 3 to pursue other interests. He will be replaced by Charles Harris, formerly president and CEO of Simulation Sciences
, a software developer for the oil, chemical and engineering industries. Harris also served as VP of Computervision's Industry Business Group and has held various positions at Hewlett-Packard and EDS. Harris brings a strong engineering and strategic planning background to the position, according to Document Sciences chairman Thomas Ringer.
