Unisys acquires image processing software

) Information Services Group has completed its acquisition of the VisualImpact suite of item and image processing software from software provider Broadway & Seymour (Charlotte, NC, http://www.bsis.com). Unisys announced its plans to purchase the business in July. VisualImpact's features include image archival, item processing and cash management solutions, and a modular approach so that institutions need only implement the applications they need. The acquisition adds to Unisys' already strong presence in the banking and financial systems market, "which has realized the limitations of paper-based information and is eager for fresh solutions," according to Unisys ISG vice president Glenn Santmire.
