Giving credit where credit is due

To help meet its goal of real-time, enterprisewide business intelligence and to enhance overall business performance, the Navy Federal Credit Union has deployed software from iDashboards.

The solution will give employees of the large credit union a real-time view into the key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to their job functions, as well as the ability to be notified through e-mail alerts when KPI thresholds are exceeded.

In three months, the credit union has progressed from the proof-of-concept phase to launching the dashboard technology in the lending department, the new-account-opening pipeline and other areas. By the end of this year, the credit union plans to have 100 dashboards in production, and it ultimately hopes to have at least one dashboard created for each of its more than 5,000 employees.

John Charles Herzberg, manager of e-commerce for the credit union, says, "Ever since we deployed the solution, there has been overwhelming demand for dashboards from our employees throughout our business. The technology couldn't be any easier to use and implementation was quick and simple. Now, being able to drill down into a variety of KPIs, we can easily identify what has raised alerts so that we can take immediate action."
