Nuxeo Snaps Up 3D Content Management Software Company InEvo

Nuxeo, developer of the Nuxeo Platform, which enables organizations to manage complex digital content at scale, has acquired InEvo, a 3D enterprise content management software developer based in Lisbon, Portugal. With this acquisition, the InEvo development team will join the Nuxeo R&D team and remain based in Portugal.

Nuxeo is acquiring all InEvo software assets, consisting primarily of content management services for 3D digital assets.

The acquisition adds new tools for modeling and managing 3D assets to the Nuxeo Platform.

According to Eric Barroca, CEO of Nuxeo, InEvo has been an early adopter and strong supporter of Nuxeo, and its expertise in content management for 3D assets will help position Nuxeo further ahead in the DAM market.

InEvo is the developer of Diorama, a collaborative, cloud-based digital asset management (DAM) solution for 3D content. This solution provides a multi-touch 3D modeling tool, searchable digital asset management, integration with 3D printing services such as i.materialise, and collaboration through social networks. InEvo was also part of a previous R&D project called ColaDI, a collaborative document management solution for industrial design documents.
