CAST Highlight introduces CO2 Emissions Estimator, forwarding green proprietary initiatives

CAST, the software intelligence leader, is announcing that its latest version of CAST Highlight will feature a new CO2 Emission Estimator capability which will empower organizations to address their green deficiencies. Now available in beta, CAST’s CO2 Emission Estimator enables enterprises to estimate their CO2 emissions and energy consumption and take the necessary action to reduce their footprint.

CAST’s latest green capability conducts a series of calculations that leverage automated insights regarding software condition and user-configurable parameters—which include number of servers or virtual machines, those machines’ utilization, energy demand, and more. Once estimations are complete, CAST Highlight offers guided remediation for addressing software green deficiencies.

The CO2 Emission Estimator builds on CAST’s Highlight’s Green Software Insights—a feature that analyzes proprietary application code for green impact—forwarding sustainability initiatives for a wide range of industries.
