Sitecore acquires CommerceServer.net

Sitecore has purchased CommerceServer.net in a move designed to establish the industry’s first .NET-based, enterprise-grade customer experience management platform with a native, fully integrated e-commerce engine.

Sitecore acquired CommerceServer.net from SMITH (formerly Ascentium), a global digital experience agency that builds, sells and supports the Commerce Server e-commerce engine. SMITH is also a Sitecore Strategic Commerce Alliance Partner and will continue to work with Sitecore and its customers to develop world-class commerce experiences.

Existing CommerceServer.net customers will have the option of utilizing a deep integration between Commerce Server and Sitecore’s experience platform or a standalone Commerce Server product that will continue to be supported by Sitecore.
