ECM Vendor Nuxeo Adds Persistence Engine for MarkLogic NoSQL Database

Nuxeo, which provides a platform for managing digital content at scale, and MarkLogic, a provider of an enterprise NoSQL database platform, have announced that the Nuxeo Platform now supports the MarkLogic database as a storage back end. Nuxeo's NoSQL persistence engine now offers native integration with MarkLogic to develop, test and deploy mission-critical content-centric applications that are central to optimizing enterprise business processes.

The MarkLogic NoSQL database enables the storing, managing, and searching of structured and unstructured data, as well as the data resiliency and consistency features of relational databases. MarkLogic also provides enterprise features as government-grade security and high availability in addition to support for bitemporal data management, geospatial capabilities, tiered storage, and cloud support.

The combination of Nuxeo with MarkLogic integration provides advanced capabilities and performance for Nuxeo customers, said Eric Barroca, CEO Nuxeo, noting that MarkLogic is optimized for both structured, and unstructured data, and that Nuxeo customers need to be able to manage rich content with very high volumes of content.

The new connector is now in its beta version and will be publically available at the end of 2016, the companies said.
