ECM Vendor Nuxeo Closes $10 Million Funding Round

Nuxeo, a provider of an enterprise content platform that enables organizations to manage complex digital content at scale, recently closed a financing round with $10 million committed by Kennet Partners. The company says the new investment will be used to fuel growth by continuing the development of Nuxeo’s platform and reinforcing sales and marketing efforts worldwide.

According to Eric Barroca, CEO at Nuxeo, the ECM market is facing a transformation due to the complexity of data, the volume of digital content, and the diversity of delivery channels. This new investment, he said, will be used to help Nuxeo respond to the increasing demands in the ECM market by accelerating the hiring of developers and expanding its international presence and sales capacity in areas such as Northern Europe and Asia.

Over the last year, the company has announced several initiatives to address the changing ECM market, including NoSQL technology with Elasticsearch-based native indexing and a native persistence engine for MongoDB, native cloud support (including native connectors and UX integrations for Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive and Box), and advanced scaling capacity.
