Using AI tools to become a better leader at KMWorld 2025
AI systems can enhance team alignment, reduce execution bottlenecks, and help build a culture of accountability that scales with growth.
At KMWorld 2025, Don Markland, CEO, Accountability Now, co-CEO at Noomii.com, and head, Forbes AI Council, presented his session, “From Chaos to Clarity: Enterprise AI Reshaping Accountability & Execution.”
Using real-world examples, he shared how business and tech leaders are using AI not just for automation, but for enabling smarter leadership and operational structure.
Accountability Now is one of the largest coaching companies in the United States, he explained. “We do a lot with AI,” Markland said.
He explained that his experience in previous selling jobs at a call center company helped form his interest in team building and mentorship.
“Training is not a check the box exercise,” Markland said. “It is something you are always working on. Whatever you are trying to learn is always a work in progress.”
He created the 4 Cs of Accountability:
- Critique success
- Correct failure
- Celebrate growth
- Crush mediocrity
“As you approach AI in your business or teams there are a few things to remember: AI isn’t going away, it’s growing so get onboard. It only replaces slow jobs,” Markland said. “Number two: have a weekly AI roundtable and bring an idea of some different way to use AI. Number three: define what it really means to be an AI-first company. You have to have a foundation.”
He recommended that “any time in any of your teams whenever a problem is presented, your first response should be how can AI solve this, as well as work with humans.”
KMWorld returned to the J.W. Marriott in Washington D.C. on November 17-20, with pre-conference workshops held on November 17.
KMWorld 2025 is a part of a unique program of five co-located conferences, which also includes Enterprise Search & Discovery, Enterprise AI World, Taxonomy Boot Camp, and Text Analytics Forum.
