Elastic’s NVIDIA integration accelerates AI with optimized vector search
Elastic, the Search AI Company, is debuting a new Elasticsearch integration with the NVIDIA Enterprise AI Factory validated design, a full-stack validated design for enterprises to build and deploy their own on-premise AI factory. This integration positions the Elasticsearch vector database as the recommended option for enterprises to build and deploy their AI factories, delivering an Elasticsearch plugin that will accelerate vector search index build times and queries, according to the company.
This release affirms Elasticsearch’s significance in the space of vector search and AI applications, building on its previous initiatives that focused on optimizing its vector database performance through hardware-accelerated CPU SIMD instructions. This investment, made possible through NVIDIA cuVS, will drive the creation of AI agents and generative AI (GenAI) applications fueled by real-time intelligence.
“We are obsessed with building the best vector database in the market,” said Ken Exner, chief product officer at Elastic. “NVIDIA Enterprise AI Factory validated designs enable Elastic customers to unlock faster, more relevant insights from their data.”
"Vector databases are transforming enterprise AI by making it easier for companies to find and use information quickly,” said Pat Lee, vice president, strategic enterprise partnerships at NVIDIA. “With Elasticsearch and the NVIDIA Enterprise AI Factory reference design, enterprises can unlock deeper insights and deliver more relevant, real-time information to AI agents and generative AI applications.”
