AODocs content services platform offers new low-code features

AODocs, a content services platform provider, has introduced a new version of its platform designed to provide customers with improved tools and an enhanced experience.

The AODocs business process platform is tightly integrated with Google Drive’s collaborative, user experience-focused platform, allowing organizations to implement their business-critical processes, control their documents, and meet compliance requirements without burdening users. Built to automate business workflows in compliance with various regulations, AODocs’ patented content services platform is a Google Recommended Partner Solution for G Suite.

“Release 53 is representative of our ongoing commitment to provide the most agile and innovative content services platform on the market,” said Stéphane Donzé, CEO of AODocs. “The need to operate entire businesses in the cloud has been tragically illustrated by the impact of COVID-19 as organizations had to support a distributed, at home workforce, with minimal IT support.”

The new release features new low-code configurations that enable non-technical users to manage calculated fields (which value is automatically computed based on a user-defined formula) in a similar way as cells can be defined by a formula in a spreadsheet. These calculated fields can be used for a variety of use cases including document naming conventions, date computations, validation rules, and more, without the need for scripting or development.

The latest version of the AODocs platform also introduces fine-grained administration roles allowing certain users to be given specific administration privileges (such as managing the category values), without being granted full administration permissions. The “Enhancements to View” settings provide an improved user interface and new configuration options for easily creating customized views.

Also featured in the new release is the AODocs Templating Services, which allows users to insert dynamic data into attached Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and automatically update the attached file content when the source information changes in AODocs.
