Deloitte Continues Partnership with Relativity

Deloitte is expanding its existing nine-year working relationship with Relativity, the providers of a leading e-discovery platform, to focus on delivering data governance solutions to clients.

As structured and unstructured data volumes and complexity mount, the alliance aims to help organizations build or hone critical processes including data governance, global investigation, litigation, and regulatory compliance management.

Managing, preserving, and protecting in-motion data for multi-jurisdictional matters is taking increasingly more advanced e-discovery skills and solutions, said Chris May, Deloitte Risk and Financial Advisory principal and national discovery practice leader, Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP.

According to a 2017 Deloitte poll, 47.1% of discovery, legal and information technology professionals' organizations have responded to at least one global litigation, regulatory or investigative incident in the past year. Yet, only 21.9% of poll respondents were able to conduct discovery and produce evidence within mandated timelines for those global matters.

Deloitte wants to help its clients take advantage of the disruption currently underway in the e-discovery space, whether they want to work fully in the cloud, in a hosted environment, on-premises or in a hybrid model, said Deloitte Risk and Financial Advisory CEO Chuck Saia.

Deloitte's e-discovery services, global footprint, managed services capabilities and sector knowledge all help to provide clients withagility and scalability around bet-the-business events – as well as for ongoing protection and preservation of competitively advantageous data.
