Adobe Updates Scan App with Document Detection
Adobe has announced new Scan technology to alleviate time-consuming search for documents stored among photos. Since Adobe launched Adobe Scan in June, the app has been downloaded more than 4 million times.
Adobe Sensei technology analyzes all of the photos in a camera roll and surfaces only the ones that appear to be documents to allow Adobe Scan to automatically search for documents, receipts, business cards, and more.
In addition to the new document discovery capability, Adobe has added other features that make finding and working with documents on the go easier.
Now, users can find files more easily by searching by name or date. On iPhone and iPad, users can access Adobe Scan files through the new iOS 11 Files app so they don’t have to toggle back and forth between apps. On Android, you can access scans even when they are offline. In addition, Adobe has improved image cleaning in Adobe Scan, specifically for shadows and folds, so scans will look clearer.
