Repstor Launches New Mobile Content Management Suite

Repstor, an ECM company that helps businesses exploit their SharePoint and Office 365 investments, has introduced a new mobile content management suite to provide improved continuity for information workers on the go.

The new addition to Repstor’s content management suite is aimed at boosting boost productivity, collaboration and compliance by making it easier and more intuitive for nomadic employees to correctly file email and documents when out of the office.

Based on Repstor’s content categorization technology called “assist,” the new mobile application gives information workers intelligent, accurate and intuitive email and document filing and categorization on the go, from any device.

With improving high-speed mobile coverage, employees can now use their devices for more than just checking email when out of the office, but this can play havoc with information management, said Repstor CTO Fergus Wilson.   However, according to Wilson, users’ mobile activity must be an extension of people’s desktop systems, or they must be sure to engage in follow-up admin at some later time, in order to ensure that emails and attachments are filed correctly since it is easy to forget to do so when back in the office.

Importantly, users don’t need to have to open a second application or take special actions to file their emails or attachments from their mobile devices since they can do this directly from within their usual mobile mail application. This ensure consistent filing since users can now do this correctly first time, wherever they are and without interrupting what they’re doing, said Wilson.

Repstor’s assisted filing capability can be used with a wide variety of content management and file sharing applications, including SharePoint, HP CM, Box, and even file shares.

The company has also introduced a mobile app for its custodian case management solution, designed specifically for legal professionals using Office 365 and SharePoint. This mobile app offers intuitive mobile access and browsing and filing of cases and legal matters on the go.
