dtSearch Partners with TamoSoft

TamoSoft and dtSearch have announced a new version of TamoSoft’s NetResident embedding the dtSearch Engine for search as well as file format and other data support.

TamoSoft develops security and network monitoring software, including NetResident for network content analysis.  dtSearch specializes in enterprise and developer text retrieval and document filters.

NetResident network monitoring software provides network security policy implementation, events-based content visualization and data leak prevention, and uses centralized as well as agent-based data capture to collect events data, including web page views, file downloads, email traffic, social network posts, and even VoIP conversations with options for data visualization as well as local and remote access to monitored data.

For searching the contents of its SQL database, which it uses as its backend for storing its collection of events data, TamoSoft is using dtSearch Engine. The dtSearch Engine is being used for searching large SQL databases that contain content transferred over LANs and the internet, according to Michael Berg, managing director of TamoSoft. TamoSoft is also using the dtSearch Engine’s built-in document filters to parse content from a wide variety of file types, emails and other data.

dtSearch’s developer SDK product, the dtSearch Engine, instantly searches terabytes of text, including over 25 full-text and metadata-driven search options.  dtSearch’s proprietary document filters support a wide range of online and offline data including numerous document types, emails plus nested attachments, website data and other databases.  The dtSearch Engine has 64-bit and 32-bit .NET, C++ and Java APIs, with SDKs for Linux, Windows and UWP, with Mac and Android in beta.
