Document Capture Company Acquires Cabinet

PSIGEN Software, Inc., a provider of document capture and scanning solutions, has acquired Cabinet Document Management Solutions, an Alabama-based provider of content management, workflow and business process automation solutions.

PSIGEN will continue to develop and support Cabinet’s flagship product, SAFE, and will offer SAFE as both on-premise and cloud offerings through many of its more than 500 authorized resellers worldwide, as well as through Cabinet’s existing VAR and integrator channel.

The acquisition allows PSIGEN to significantly increase the breadth of its product offerings and provide a full-featured, end-to-end document capture and workflow solution for a range of companies, on a variety of platforms, according to Bruce Hensley, PSIGEN’s CEO, who noted that by creating an integrated, proven suite of software solutions PSIGEN will help clients to improve the way they manage mission-critical documents, processes, and business information.

PSIGEN and Cabinet deal marks the next step of a 17-year partnership between the companies.

The employees of both companies will now be employed by PSIGEN, with most maintaining the same or similar roles. Support and sales workflows remain unchanged; the existing experienced teams will continue to support their SAFE or PSIcapture customers.
