Nuxeo Accelerates Digital Transformation with New Release

Nuxeo has announced the latest release of the Nuxeo Hyperscale Digital Asset Platform.

Nuxeo Platform LTS 2016 features a rebuilt user interface, focusing on user productivity and ease of use with a configurable search-based navigation, task-oriented UI, and user-centric workflows. According to the vendor, the new user interface allows more efficient workflows and puts search at the center of user actions, enhancing user productivity with direct access to previously visited documents, collections, easy browsing of search results, always-available instant search. This new UI, following the platform’s general technical paradigm, is customizable and built on technical foundations: Web Components with Polymer, modern Javascript, and HTML5.

Today, many enterprise organizations struggle to turn their data into valuable digital assets, says Eric Barroca, CEO, Nuxeo, noting that Nuxeo Platform LTS 2016 allows customers to derive value from digital assets, even if they are complex or scattered across the organization. With a new web UI, advanced DAM (digital asset management) capabilities, performance capabilities, and other new features, he noted, Nuxeo is helping customers achieve digital transformation.

Nuxeo Platform LTS 2016 provides deep integration with in-place IT systems and mobile devices, through the Nuxeo iOS and Android mobile app provides access to all Nuxeo repository content on the go, connectors to Salesforce.com and Adobe CC, integration with enterprise file sync and share systems (Google Drive, Box and Dropbox), and improved bidirectional desktop sync of content.

The new release also includes MongoDB persistence engine improvements that allow the Nuxeo Platform to reach higher levels of performance. Using MongoDB as a data storage back-end allows high performance application deployments for giant and complex data models, with many concurrent read/writes or geographically distributed systems with integrated failover.

The Marklogic persistence engine is now also available featuring transactions, clustering, high availability, and replication. In addition, the Nuxeo Platform now integrates with Elasticsearch 2.x, offering new search and aggregation possibilities for stored content.
