ASG Technologies Launches ASG-Mobius 6.0

ASG Technologies, a provider of enterprise information access, management, and control, has launched ASG-Mobius 6.0, a purpose-built content management system to help companies make better use of business information through improved access to corporate content.

This is the first product release since Allen Systems Group, Inc., which had done business as ASG Software Solutions, announced its name change to ASG Technologies Group, Inc., representing a renewed focus on agility in product development, sales, and customer service to better serve the enterprise market.

The new release allows mobile workforces to access and integrate corporate content of any kind from any device, while IT architects can deploy the solution on premises, on Amazon Web Services (AWS), or in a hybrid environment.

According to ASG, the solution addresses the problem that enterprises face with corporate content often locked up in legacy and proprietary applications and content repositories across different departments. This creates complex systems that limit access from outside the corporate firewall and drive up IT management and support costs.

ASG-Mobius 6.0 provides enterprise-class content aggregation, integration, and storage capabilities with platform, device, and data independence. Web developers can add reusable web components to any application or URL so that mobile workforces can search, access, view, download, and link enterprise content from the repository. According to Swamy Viswanathan, executive vice president and chief product officer of ASG Technologies, ASG-Mobius 6.0 eases content access for business users and also helps businesses simplify IT architecture, translating into decreased IT costs and maintaining the focus on the business rather than the infrastructure.

In addition, ASG-Mobius 6.0 deployed on Amazon Web Services gives IT administrators the ability to deploy in the cloud and to design a hybrid content environment, integrating on-premises and cloud repositories for greater flexibility, easier IT management, and lower costs. ASG-Mobius 6.0 also provides long-term storage and archiving with records management functionality and regulatory compliance management, as well as integration with any other content repository or file shares. ASG will help organizations transition to hybrid content environments that will reduce their IT footprint, simplify content system management, and create a single content search and delivery platform, noted Brendan English, vice president, line of business, content, at ASG Technologies. And, supporting data security and compliance ASG-Mobius 6.0 enables IT administrators to encrypt any type of content, and to restrict content access only to authorized users.

Commenting on the August 17 company name change, Charles Sansbury, president and CEO of ASG Technologies, said that “ASG Technologies” represents the next phase in the company’s development, with the opportunity to lead the industry in key areas with its combination of ownership, technological capabilities and change.

As part of the transformation, ASG Technologies, which partners with system integrators and technology providers such as Wipro, Capgemini, Teradata and Collibra, among others, also unveiled a new website that showcases the company’s solutions.
