The results of the study represent "a significant improvement over standard ICR technology," according to Doculabs research analyst Gaddiel Torres. Evaluation of Scan-Optics' ICR technology alone yielded a field read rate accuracy of approximately 90%. The tests were conducted using 3,400 forms completed from a national sample of the general population, resulting in a "real-world test" of ICR technology, said Torres.
