Ektron upgrades CMS400.Net

Ektron has released a new version of CMS400.Net, which the company describes as its all-in-one application for creating, deploying and managing interactive Web, intranet and extranet sites.

The company reports new and enhanced features in Version 6.1 include:

Personalization and portal support. Site visitors can create their own customized views of a site's pages with content options, such as blogs, forums or calendars, specified by the site owner. Content authors can also build shared views for all visitors using the same functionality, eliminating the need to have a developer reconfigure the Web pages.

Broken link checker. The new utility is said to validate all templates, content, menus, CSS and JavaScript on demand or on a recurring schedule.

Integrated document management. Non-technical business users set up personal portals for managing individual or team projects.

Software development kit (SDK). Ektron's second-generation application programming interface (API) and new Event Handler simplify CMS400.Net development and extension.

Visual Studio enhancement. The extension integrates directly into Visual Studio's template library for quick access.
