E-mail management matures

ClearStory Systems has released Radiant MailManager, which it describes as a highly scalable, e-mail active archiving solution that provides complete life cycle, compliance and storage management for the corporate e-mail knowledgebase.

ClearStory reports key features of the Radiant MailManager include:

Comprehensive capture and indexing--The software is a fully automated archiving solution that captures all inbound, outbound and internal e-mail, as well as automatically categorizing messages based on content, attachments and header information. It also offers full-text indexing and search with training-based analytics, which refines categorization over time.

Easy retrieval--The software is integrated with Microsoft Outlook, enabling users to search for and retrieve e-mail with a familiar look and feel.

Effective sampling and review--A review module scans e-mails based on message and attachment content, context and combinations of key terms and words. Policy violations are quickly identified and resolved because illicit messages are automatically flagged for management review.

Powerful storage management--MailManager offers single-instance storage, manages attachments and provides automated storage management, supporting hierarchical storage management.

Policy-based life cycle management--The offering provides companies with total control over retention, and complete life cycle management is ensured. Policy rules are automatically applied for retention scheduling, so no user intervention is required.

Radiant MailManager is the latest addition to the Radiant Content Suite, a platform for integrating rich media and business documents into enterprise business processes. MailManager is available as a standalone application or as a component of the Radiant Content Suite, which provides management and on-demand access for the full range of enterprise content.
