Panasonic Partners with Foxit on PDF Compression

Foxit Software, a provider of secure PDF solutions, has announced that Panasonic’s Document Management and Imaging division has selected Foxit’s PDF Compressor technology to be incorporated in all scanner models, from desktop to production level, being shipped in the U.S.

Panasonic Document Management and Imaging is the scanner division of Panasonic Corp.

Foxit PDF Compressor technology, acquired through Foxit’s acquisition of CVISION, was selected by Panasonic to capture PDF documents and optimize them through fast, accurate optical character recognition processes powered by its patented technology.

Panasonic scanners will now be able to utilize advanced file compression technology to streamline PDF file size for more rapid file transmission and cost-efficient document storage.
