The University of Nevada, Reno, is deploying a content services platform to support access, consistency and efficiency across its 30 departments. The university has chosen OnBase by Hyland hosted in the Hyland Cloud.

The University will use OnBase to digitize records and achieve a paperless work environment while improving operational efficiency campus wide. Following the initial data migration, the University will deploy OnBase capture and workflow functionality and use records management capabilities to administer regulatory, compliance and retention policies for the University's electronic documents, Hyland reports.

Steve Smith, vice-provost for the Office of Information Technology at the University, says, “A centralized digital content management system is essential to maintain effective collaboration. We look forward to implementing OnBase. We are confident it will help us achieve seamless workflows and efficient data management.”

The University will use OnBase in conjunction with existing core business systems, which will be integrated once OnBase is fully implemented on campus. To support its digital strategy, the University will deploy OnBase in the Hyland Cloud, a secure, privately hosted, multi-instance cloud hosting architecture.

Dave Vegh, director, higher education practice at Hyland, says, “The University will enable faculty and staff to increase efficiency and collaboration by deploying OnBase as a configurable enterprise content services solution, which will accelerate decision-making and free up more time for student service.”
