Canon U.S.A. and Nuance Document Imaging Renew Their Collaboration

To meet growing business customer demand for document workflow solutions and continue to offer quality in service and support for MFPs, Canon U.S.A., a provider of digital imaging solutions, and Nuance Communications say they are “reigniting” their collaboration.

With this collaboration, Nuance's eCopy ShareScan is now compatible with Canon’s latest imageRUNNER ADVANCE series.

In addition, Canon will provide enhanced support for the Nuance Document Imaging eCopy product, including ShareScan and PDF Pro Office.

According to the vendors, Nuance’s eCopy makes it easier for workers to access critical document processes and keep business running smoothly. Whether interfacing directly with other organizations, or collaborating internally, employees can leverage Canon solutions to access paper in the office, on smartphones, or on tablets to capture data whenever and wherever they need it.

Canon will also offer full support for eCopy PDF Pro Office, which delivers PDF features plus advanced optical character recognition (OCR) capabilities. The solution is designed to create, view, convert, edit, and collaborate with industry standard PDF files. In addition to speech recognition capabilities, eCopy PDF Pro Office readily connects to cloud storage document management systems, such as Box, to further automate workflow processes.

This integration also helps expand the portfolio of solutions for information management, workflow, and collaboration to support today’s mobile workforce.
