GTESS and IMS Sign EDI Agreement

GTESS (Dallas, TX) and Integrated Medical Systems

(Santa Ana, CA) have signed an agreement to provide joint electronic data exchange (EDI) solutions for the healthcare market. The two companies will combine to produce an EDI claims processing system for healthcare payers. Images processed by GTESS' recognition software will extract required data from the claims, and transmit the data to IMS for reformatting and electronic transmission to the payer. The agreement "promises to meet healthcare payer organizations' needs for delivering a faster, more reliable means of claims transactions through EDI technology," said IMS co-CEO Robert Weinberger.
