Newest improvements on CCC Marketplace enhance publisher-user experience for medical communications professionals
An enterprise provider of voluntary collective licensing, CCC (Copyright Clearance Center), is debuting its latest permissions and project management capabilities for medical communications professionals on CCC Marketplace—a streamlined shop for licensing requests and article reprints.
CCC Marketplace now offers medical communications professionals a single workflow process for optimal content licensing. Sources for content licensing include large STM publisher partners such as the American Medical Association, Oxford University Press, SAGE Publications, Springer Nature, Wiley, and Wolters Kluwer. CCC emphasizes reusability for various medical communications projects, where users will be able to license content in an efficient, streamlined process. Other CCC Marketplace improvements include upgraded medical communications project operations, flexible invoicing and billing in numerous currencies, order consolidation, purchasing rights on behalf of several clients, and license viewing for each item ordered.
On the publisher partner side of CCC Marketplace, users will be able to offer reuse rights with a consolidated workflow via CCC Publisher Portal. CCC Publisher Portal allows publisher partners to communicate with requestors, price and authorize orders, as well as search a holistic history of previous medical communications requests.
“We've worked closely with the top global medical communications agencies and publisher partners to design a unique copyright permission solution that’s both easy to use and efficient,” said Emily Sheahan, VP and managing director, information and content solutions, at CCC. “We’re pleased to deliver this user-friendly ecommerce solution to meet the evolving needs of publishers and their valued customers.”
