FAST announces an OEM partnership agreement with CoreMedia. The deal calls for integration of FAST InStream, an OEM enterprise search solution specifically designed for ISVs, into CoreMedia’s Smart Content Technology and modular Digital Rights Management solutions, which are based on the open standards of the Open Mobile Alliance. The companies claim the combination of these offerings will improve the usability and work speed for large content repositories to accelerate clients' competitive advantage.

FAST reports InStream was developed to enhance its Enterprise Search Platform technology within OEM environments. Supporting both structured and unstructured data, says FAST, InStream is designed for nearly all software applications, including:

• enterprise portals,

• content and document management systems,

• customer relationship management solutions,

• enterprise resource planning applications,

• business intelligence suites, and

• storage and archiving solutions.

CoreMedia says its Smart Content Technology is ECM software for the creation and operation of high-performance, multichannel content services such as Internet, intranets, extranets, knowledge management, product data publishing, media asset management and digital rights management. The company adds it covers the entire content value-creation chain including the creation, management, delivery and control of content.
