BI: What, when, how?

Information Builders has introduced WebFOCUS Resource Analyzer, which is engineered to help organizations better understand usage monitoring and analysis in order to maximize business intelligence (BI) system performance throughout the organization.

The company believes that by incorporating resource analysis into enterprise BI initiatives, organizations can track important information about usage to ensure availability and acceptable response times for queries across an ever-growing set of users and enterprise data sources.

Information Builders says WebFOCUS Resource Analyzer helps organizations monitor resource consumption, thereby allowing administrators to identify inefficiencies in information architecture, remove bottlenecks and eliminate resource constrictions in order to achieve peak performance and maximize usage. Administrators can take advantage of more than 80 detailed reports and graphs for data utilization analysis as well as key performance measures--including critical performance and data usage issues--to spot concerns before they affect users.

The new software is further said to give organizations the ability to understand the impact of Web reporting on operational systems, determine user data access, design patterns and identify ROI benchmarks for new intranet initiatives, reports Information Builders.
