A2iA Mobility Expands List of Supported Document Types
A2iA, a developer of software for data capture, document processing, and payment systems, has released a new version of A2iA Mobility, its software toolkit for offline mobile data recognition and image analysis.
Expanding its list of supported documents and checks, A2iA Mobility now offers the ability to automatically locate and extract data from U.S. drivers’ licenses and receipts, and to perform field recognition of printed and handwritten data from forms and documents.
As more applications move to mobile devices, the expanded client-side capabilities provide a way for consumers and organizations to capture information directly on a phone or tablet, and to support workflows that require multiple documents, such as forms and IDs, explained Jean-Louis Fages, A2iA president and chairman of the board. The solution enables users to enroll in a new account, deposit a check, fund a loan, apply for a credit card, or perform other key functions directly on their handsets.
According to the vendor, A2iA Mobility includes check recognition support for the United States, Canada, and countries in Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific. Available for integration into iOS and Android applications, software developers can customize the interface and experience for specific users.
