Boosting productivity with Alfresco Mobile 1.4 for iOS

Alfresco has released a new version of its iOS mobile solution. Alfresco Mobile 1.4 now integrates three productivity features designed to save time and increase efficiency for business users.

They include:

• task management—Version 1.4 leverages the workflow capability of Alfresco Enterprise platform or Alfresco in the cloud to provide simple task management to start, complete or reassign tasks such as document review and approval;
• note taking—business users now can create or edit a text file with notes, tag it and save it to Alfresco in the cloud or Alfresco Enterprise, making the notes feature no longer disconnected from the rest of the organization’s enterprise content; and
• mobile file sync—users can “favorite” files in Alfresco in the cloud, Alfresco Enterprise or Alfresco Mobile that will automatically sync to the mobile device of choice.

Alfresco Mobile 1.4 for iOS is currently available in the Apple App Store, complete with 10GB of free cloud file storage in conjunction with Alfresco in the cloud. It is available in five languages including English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Alfresco reports its first mobile app for Android will be available in a Google Play later this month.

Alfresco’s SDKs for both iOS and Android are also now available, allowing developers to take advantage of document management functionality to speed the creation of mobile apps.
