NetDocuments announces completion of eDOCS acquisition
NetDocuments, the cloud-native, AI-enabled legal document management platform, announced the completion of its acquisition of eDOCS from OpenText.
According to the company, the deal includes the full product portfolio and the dedicated eDOCS team, expanding NetDocuments’ global presence to over 90 countries and providing the eDOCS community with a long-term home at a company fully focused on legal professionals.
This acquisition enhances NetDocuments’ global ability to deliver leading legal technology by expanding access to secure, compliant, and modern document management for organizations of all sizes worldwide, the company said.
NetDocuments will continue to support the on-premises eDOCS platform with no end of life planned, preserving existing workflows, customer relationships, and partner engagements.
Customers and partners can expect proactive outreach, ongoing engagement, and continuity in support, along with access to a dedicated welcome site with resources, FAQs, and sign-ups for upcoming customer and partner welcome events.
This strategic combination allows upgrades to be accelerated with purpose-built migration tools, preserving institutional knowledge and established processes, and delivering a streamlined upgrade experience when customers are ready, the company said.
“We’re proud to welcome the eDOCS community to NetDocuments,” said Josh Baxter, CEO of NetDocuments. “Customers and partners now have a dedicated home with a company committed to supporting what works today and helping legal professionals do their best work. Our focus is to provide stability and continuity first, while ensuring customers have access to a modern platform and a clear, seamless path to modernization when they choose to pursue it.”
