Foxit PDF Editor updates center AI’s place in enhancing document workflows

Foxit, a leading provider of innovative PDF and eSignature products and services, is announcing new enhancements to its AI Assistant within Foxit PDF Editor, supercharging knowledge workers’ productivity. With new AI interactions and automations, Foxit revolutionizes what document software can help workers achieve, according to the company.

Several new features for Foxit’s PDF solution aim to radically enhance document workflows with AI capabilities. With the new dedicated ribbon tab, users benefit from a centralized place to access all their AI tools. Similar to the strip of tabs atop a Microsoft Word window—with tabs such as “Home,” or “Edit,”—the dedicated ribbon tab places all of Foxit’s AI tools within an easily accessible location. Outside of this utility, the dedicated ribbon tab highlights a more central integration with AI tools as part of the document workflow, highlighting it as a core part within the UI.

The update also features enhancements to Foxit’s AI chat, which now enables users to chat with images. When uploading images, users can extract text in the image, translate the text, or even describe the image itself.

Regarding documents more granularly, Foxit now makes it simple for users to extract key details and compare content across multiple PDFs, simultaneously. Foxit PDF Editor now also enables the automatic generation of bookmarks based on document structure or specific page ranges, radically simplifying navigation and organization.

Finally, with intelligent read, documents within the Foxit PDF Editor can be read aloud with improved voice options, forwarding a more accessible, hands-free method of interaction.
