CAST and metafinanz partner to drive Green IT initiatives

CAST, the software intelligence leader, and metafinanz, a consulting subsidiary of Allianz, are announcing a partnership that combines CAST’s software intelligence expertise with metafinanz’s Green IT approach. With sights set on green organizational transformation, the two companies aim to reduce IT challenges while implementing sustainable tech practices, according to the companies.

Key to this partnership is metafinanz’s Maturity Model Integrated Green IT Framework, an initiative that spans 23 disciplines revolving around green organizational transformation.

 “Green coding,” a significant component of metafinanz’s framework, measures a variety of IT processes—including application electricity consumption, code review, implementation of improvements, and the remeasurement of these assets—to bring greater transparency to IT sustainability. metafinanz also delivers Green Coding Guidelines for both Python and Java.
