RapidMiner and Tableau Partner to Broaden Use of Predictive Analytics
To help improve data analysis among business analysts who often lack statistical programming skills, RapidMiner, a provider of an open source predictive analytics platform, has formed a partnership with business analytics software vendor Tableau. The partnership is targeted at allowing these users to more easily use predictive analytics in big and disparate datasets.
According to the vendors, the joint effort will combine statistically-based insights from RapidMiner with the Tableau data visualizations to help business analysts make better data-based decisions. RapidMiner enables Tableau users with limited data science skills to generate their own predictive results and integrate them into their analytic visualizations in order to better understand customers, business performance, and operational efficiencies.
"RapidMiner provides Tableau customers with the ability to extend upon the strong analytics capabilities already in Tableau and leverage the value of predictive analytics within their data visualizations to produce new insights that lead to better actions,” said Dan Kogan, director of product marketing at Tableau. The partnership also opens up “the rich predictive models RapidMiner users create to a much wider audience of business users for maximum business impact."
