We can get along

Vignette has developed new enterprise content adapters to allow easy integration of enterprise content from the latest versions of PeopleSoft and Siebel applications into Vignette content management solutions. The enterprise content adapters, available as extensions to the Vignette V6 Content Suite, help companies integrate content from enterprise applications into Web applications, with minimal disruption and significant time and cost savings.

Vignette says V6 adapter for PeopleSoft 8 and Siebel 7 help harness the content housed within and across the enterprise, helping provide a full-spectrum view of enterprise content to employees, partners, suppliers and customers. The company further believes the adapters take the complexity out of content management within the enterprise, improving ease of use for users and increasing productivity for developers. Integrations with Vignette content adapters are created in a graphical design environment, and in most cases no coding is required to deploy sophisticated content integration processes, claims Vignette.

The new enterprise adapters include support for multiple platforms, including Solaris, Windows, AIX and HP-UX. In addition, the new adapters expand integration with leading EAI tools and frameworks such as MQSeries, J2EE, XML schemas and Web services. More than 50 content adapters are available for a wide variety of content sources, including desktop authoring tools, XML, enterprise applications such SAP R/3 and J.D. Edwards, content repositories, HTTP, FTP, EDI and RosettaNet.
