Lucy enriches its Synopsis feature with generative AI capabilities

All answers delivered through Lucy Synopsis are derived only from an enterprise’s internal documents and connected tools.

Subject matter experts can now add verified answer labels, so users can be even more confident in the information they receive. Users can leverage the Synopsis Feedback mechanism to reinforce and provide feedback on responses delivered through Synopsis, enabling Lucy to learn, get smarter, and provide more relevant answers over time.

Synopsis now responds to more questions and supports a wider variety of different answer formats. Other key Synopsis updates include:

• Asynchronous Synopsis Responses: Lucy progressively retrieves answers, suggestions, keywords, and generative responses as they become available, increasing the speed of results by up to 40%. Users can leverage the knowledge as soon as content appears so there is no waiting for the model to “type.”
• Conversational Responses: Lucy remembers the last three questions asked in a session, allowing her to use context from previous questions to provide more relevant answers and dive deeper when answering follow-up questions.
• Answer Suggested Questions: Lucy suggests additional questions related to the answers she provides, which increases engagement by encouraging users to ask more questions and dig deeper in their knowledge journey.
• Discover Suggested Questions: Users can find related questions in their Discover portals, which enables them to explore other relevant content and offers inspiration for new questions to ask to aid in information discovery.

The latest version of Synopsis also comes with customizable assistant instructions, which is ideal for situations in which companies want to rebrand Lucy to fit their corporate environment.

Synopsis may be customized to control name and identity, purpose, context, and even nuance of how to respond to specific types of user queries.

Lucy Synopsis is built with enterprise-grade security and privacy. Administrators can leverage the full suite of settings to tune and tweak the system based on their organization’s needs as their generative AI policies evolve.
