Hyland accounts payable connector framework strengthens integration with ERP apps

Hyland, a provider of software solutions for managing content, processes, and cases, has enhanced its accounts payable (AP) automation solutions with a new AP connector framework for direct integration between the OnBase platform and ERP and financial management platforms.

The AP connector framework offers built-in two-way data validation and exchange with ERPs to minimize exceptions and errors. Users can also access documents including invoices, check images, vendor contracts, and remittances directly from the corresponding records in their financial management applications.

“Hyland’s long and successful track record of integrating AP solutions with ERP systems gave our team the insight to develop the new connector framework that creates an enhanced user experience regardless of the ERP they work with. OnBase adapts to the way people work in their ERP, creating a more intuitive and cohesive experience,” said Don Dittmar, product manager at Hyland. “Also, simplified deployment through pre-built best practice functionality and configuration means our customers see results and ROI even sooner.”

The initial roll-out of the AP connector framework will support Workday Financial Management, Infor Lawson, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations, Infor Lawson Accounts Payable Invoice Automation, Infor CloudSuite Financials & Supply Management, and Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, with more launching in the coming months. For those using other applications, Hyland has developed a foundational connector framework for any financial management system that can still shorten discovery and implementation timelines to ensure customers achieve the fastest ROI possible.

Key capabilities of Hyland’s AP automation solutions include intelligent capture from Brainware by Hyland, pre-configured synchronization of ERP master data, user-friendly invoice workflow and exception processing tailored to their specific ERP, and standardized reports and performance dashboards. Following implementation, users can expect to see improved process controls and worker productivity; reduced operating costs and improved cash management; and increased visibility and process management.
