How to Leverage Symbiotic Knowledge Graphs

At KMWorld 2022 Ann Bernath, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, software systems engineer, gave an overview of how symbiotic knowledge graphs can help organizations arrange important information.

“Now we can start asking both simple and complex questions,” she said. The team has been working with Enterprise Search to enrich their data sets. Connected data sets allow applications to pull data in from across a variety of data sets on demand.  

With a knowledge graph, users can utilize a federated query and start slicing across the information to answer questions by org, role, project, person, or topic.

“You can ask these very complex questions because you have these linked data sets,” she said.

There are tools that can leverage RDF graphs to enable natural language queries so anyone can ask simple questions to get answers.
