KM Specialist Sue-Ella Mueller details the process TechnipFMC followed in developing their successful knowledge sharing podcast during her presentation at KMWorld Connect 2020.
The most popular style of podcasting is interview style, she said. Companies need to choose the format that fits its knowledge-sharing need. Organizations can choose a variety of equipment types to host their own podcast, including noise-cancelling headphones which can also have a mic attached.
She explained that when creating a podcast she will obtain a guest, someone who fits a theme around knowledge management. Then she'll perform a pre-interview with the guest to formulate how the podcast will go. Then you can begin recording your podcast with podcasting software, which may or may not include easy editing access.
There are a variety of free tools that are at your disposal for creating, editing, and uploading a podcast. Adobe also has software that can aid in the development of them, she said.
