Experts discuss digital transformation trends

The efficacy of digital transformation spend is under scrutiny now more than ever. At the same time, executives know that their automation and digital workforce are critical levers to achieve top-line growth.

KMWorld recently held a webinar with Greg Council, vice president of marketing and product Management, Parascript; Jeff Sandler, marketing manager, Epson; and Bill Johnson, vice president of global sales, Parascript, who discussed how enterprises are approaching their DX projects regarding the prioritization, selection, use and location of technologies needed to support these projects, and where cognitive automation fits within these plans.

According to “Enterprise Digital Transformation Survey Results: Key priorities, readiness & Technologies considered,” sponsored by Parascript and Epson:

  • The hardest part of DX is organizational, not technical
  • Outsourcing is being rethought
  • The front office is taking center stage in DX
  • Most efforts have a top-down plan
  • Removal of paper is approached surgically instead of carpet-bombing

High on the list of companies’ priorities for DX technologies are data analytics, content management, and information data management and governance.

However, change Management is seen as the number one obstacle to the success of Digital Transformation Projects, according to Council and Johnson.

Sandler recommended the portfolio of Epson solutions. Epson is a leading manufacturer across a wide range of technology product categories, Sandler said. The companies’ goal is to deliver products, services, and solutions that exceed customer expectations.

Epson offers a competitive line up of products, a range of connectivity options, compatibility, and a 3 year warranty with a next day replacement.
