DocuWare acquires DocuScan

DocuWare, a provider of document management and workflow automation solutions, announced it is acquiring DocuScan, further supporting business efficiency and workflow automation.

Headquartered in Erftstadt near Cologne, Germany, DocuScan is a leading IT services provider in the field of digitization, building its reputation by providing expert services and customized workflow automation solutions to medium sized enterprises throughout Germany.

“When we heard of DocuScan’s plan to sell, it quickly became clear that not only would an acquisition protect their employees and customers; it would also allow us to merge their skills, experience and expertise with ours to lead the way in improving business efficiency and workflow automation,” said Dr. Michael Berger, DocuWare president.

DocuScan is wholly owned by DocuWare and will continue to operate as an independent entity within DocuWare. Michael Bochmann will remain managing director of DocuScan within DocuWare.

“There is great value in becoming part of DocuWare. My team and I look forward to contributing core knowledge to DocuWare’s global growth plan to enable its Partners and positively impact future product development,” Bochmann said.
