AvePoint Introduces New Version of DocAve High Speed Migration for Office 365

AvePoint has introduced a new version of DocAve High Speed Migration for Office 365. According to the vendor, the new release provides customers with access to faster migration projects, a comprehensive solution from migration preparation to deployment, and a simplified user experience.

With the latest release of DocAve High Speed Migration for Office 365, organizations take advantage  of the Microsoft Cloud faster while also avoiding common challenges for administrators along the way, said John Peluso, SVP of product strategy, AvePoint. While cloud computing can simplify collaboration and management processes for organizations, he added, getting to the point of deployment is not easy.

A key advancement, according to AvePoint is that DocAve High Speed Migration for Office 365 allows organizations to leverage the Microsoft SharePoint Online Migration API to migrate content from previous versions of SharePoint, file shares, and OpenText LiveLink directly to SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business.

With the new release,organizations can access performance speeds of up to 10 times faster than conventional methods through the use of multithreading uploads.  

In addition, according to AvePoint, administrators can now run a migration by selecting the source content, destination location, and Azure Storage location through one job, improving the user experience by eliminating the manual effort for exporting and preparing content for migration.

Organizations can now also use free, temporary Azure Storage Containers provided by Microsoft to alleviate the costs associated with cloud data consumption.
