U.K. police keep current with new CMS

The Lincolnshire Police Force in the United Kingdom has upgraded its intranet using enterprise content management software (CMS) from pTools. The new system is designed to deliver content securely and to help the police force meet compliance requirements.According to pTools, the Lincolnshire Police Force chose its solution because it provides:

  • significant improvement in current news and management updates for officers and staff;
  • quick access to electronic forms and police systems;
  • departmentwide access to legislation, procedural rules and other vital information; and
  • a streamlined publishing process with an integrated security and audit trail.
Graham Lord, Web site development officer for the Lincolnshire police, says, "Our intranet solution delivers a vital communications tool for us. It allows our officers and staff to be kept informed of current issues and easily access resources and police systems they use on a daily basis."

James Drennan, IT configuration manager for the police force, says, "The pTools CMS delivers a significant upgrade to our intranet infrastructure, and the .Net platform provides more robust integration with our existing police systems."
