The Library Corporation (TLC), a provider of library management platforms, data, and library technology services serving more than 5,500 library locations worldwide, has selected Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as its commercial public cloud platform.

TLC’s Library Management Software platforms, CARL.X, Library.Solution, and Library.Solution for Schools, provide users with an experience built for scalability, high availability, and operational efficiency while supporting the librarians’ goal of enhancing the patron’s experience with the library.

Replacing traditional co-location hosting services, TLC will leverage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to deliver products and services to all TLC customers, as well as improve on TLC’s mission to provide a high level of service.

“Moving our managed hosting solutions away from a co-location model to Oracle Cloud will allow TLC to apply more of our resources to improving and supporting our library management and data services. Oracle has an organizational capacity for scalability, security, and performance that complements our deep experience in library technology. This partnership enables us to focus all of our energies on our core our core value-add to our customers,” said Justin Duewel-Zahniser,  CTO of TLC.

“Oracle Cloud Infrastructure combines the highest performance along with low, predictable pricing to support all enterprise workloads,” said Ross Brown, vice president of product management, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. “We’re excited to help The Library Corporation grow its global business and improve the scalability, reliability, and security of their Library Management Platforms.”
