Make Your Way Through the Many Options Offered by LLMs

One of the challenges of being new to LLMs is the plethora of options and prospective users’ limited familiarity with the mechanics of producing an easy to manage solution. AI Navigator from Anaconda is designed to sort out these options and provide a “no code” way to run an LLM locally to write generate text or write code, and carry out other functions. “Anaconda was founded in 2012 to make it easy for users to work with data in open source Python environments, then grew to provide security, governance, and to put applications  into production at scale,” said Steve Croce, Field CTO for Anaconda.

AI Navigator runs within the Anaconda Platform, which was introduced in May 2025. It provides access to over 200 curated GenAI models, including CodeGemma and CodeLlama, both of which are designed for code-related tasks. Depending on their needs, users can access these models to perform tasks such as document analysis, content creation, and data interpretation, tailored to their specific needs and computing resources.

“Try using an LLM for simple tasks,” Croce advised. “Many of our customers are surprised at how quickly LLMs become integral to their daily workflow and can provide valuable usage across every part of the organization. This is another tool at your disposal, not replacing human judgment, but amplifying it."
