When should AI be used? According to Red Hat global KM lead Onkar Chandel, there are so many information sources and knowledge is changing so rapidly, that AI is a critical tool to make users aware of what is available when they need it.
“AI can really help you to keep up with the changing knowledge,” he said.
There are five key scenarios in which AI is particularly useful, he noted. These include situations in which it is necessary to:
- explore large and/or unstructured datasets
- obtain insights from many information sources
- evaluate rapidly changing knowledge
- push unknown knowledge out to users, or
- uncover the unknown
