Accusoft releases Prizm Content Connect 9

Accusoft has launched a significant new version of its HTML5 document viewer, Prizm Content Connect. This latest iteration includes a new, streamlined interface, responsive mobile viewing and quicker performance, according to Accusoft.

The company explains the highly customizable Prizm Content Connect V. 9 enables secure viewing and sharing virtually every document or image file type on almost any user device, including desktop and mobile, without the need to download or install external players, plug-ins or apps. Out of the box, says Accusoft, V. 9 includes Web-based annotation, redaction and search tools for convenient collaboration on almost any document or image file, and protects all shared files through custom user permissions and SSL encryption.

Chief among the enhancements in V. 9 is the option to scroll through the pages of a document. Scrolling enables users to navigate through a document more quickly and smoothly than traditional paging. The viewer features new support for responsive Web pages that adapt to fit mobile screen sizes.

On the server side, says Accusoft, Prizm Content Connect 9 delivers quicker document loading and paging than in Version 8, as well as a new load balancer accessible through a representational state transfer (REST) entry point for integration with custom applications.
