E-discovery for intellectual property firm

The intellectual property law firm Fish & Richardson has deployed an e-discovery solution that provides flexible workflow and text analytics capabilities to help the staff work more quickly. kCura's Relativity software can also be scaled to meet the specific needs of each case.

Alston Walker, manager of litigation technology and support services at Fish, says, “We dropped 1.3 million native files into the platform, and our case teams were able to start searching right away. Relativity’s ease of use and built-in text analytics features help us speed up the review process, saving our clients time and money.”

According to kCura, the law firm will benefit from its solution in the following ways:

  • Relativity analytics--Using text analytics to find and cluster similar documents, Fish’s review teams can make faster decisions and gain insight earlier in a case.
  • Customizable workflows--Fish’s case managers can build and automate custom workflows to enforce best practices and ensure the quality and speed of the review process.
  • Security--Relativity’s security enables case teams to collaborate with experts, clients and outside counsel to more quickly build the facts of the case and gain an early strategic advantage.
