KMWorld 2010: New decade, location

After more than a decade of success in Silicon Valley, the KMWorld Conference and Exposition is moving east to Washington, D.C., Nov. 16 to 18. And, as we shape the conference sessions, it’s not too early to start making plans for the event, which will be held at the Marriott Renaissance.

The theme of the conference,  KnowHow: The Knowledge Driven Enterprise, puts an emphasis on “how to” achieve a knowledge-driven and successful enterprise. Experienced knowledge, content, search and intranet experts not only provide practical, hands-on information, case studies and instruction that allow you to maximize the value of your technological investments, but also share creative ideas for dealing with knowledge, intellect, talent and human capital in open, diverse, transparent organizations.

Although the conference may seem a long way off, it’s important to emphasize that we’re actively encouraging you, KMWorld readers, to submit speaking proposals (kmworld.com/kmw10/CallForSpeakers.aspx). Please take special note that we’ve reserved Nov. 15 for pre-conference workshops. And also please notice that the conference includes the following co-located events: Taxonomy Book Camp, The Enterprise Search Summit and the two-day SharePoint Symposium.

KMWorld 2010 topics will include (but will not be limited to) the strategic, technical, cultural and managerial issues surrounding:

  • Innovation—strategies and case studies;
  • Enterprise 2.0 and the enterprise of the future;
